New Site for GSACC | Greater Stamford Area Chamber of Commerce

We are proud to announce that we are working with the Greater Stamford Area Chamber of Commerce on a new website. This is an exciting project for us as the  areas covered –  Gilboa, Grand Gorge, Harpersfield, Hobart, Jefferson, Kortright, and Stamford- are in our backyard and are towns we are excited to support and help grow!

The GSACC has newly elected  Velga V. Kundzins-Tan as President and she is a pleasure to work with. The site is feature-rich that is aimed at marketing the area and attracting more visitors and businesses. This project gives us the opportunity to do what we love best – assisting local businesses in the area and working together as a team to support each other and grow in the years to come. And, from a technology and WordPress standpoint we have pulled out lots of cool stuff from our “bag of tricks.” This project enabled us to really use our custom-coding and custom WordPress development skills and have a boatload of fun. The site categorizes and sorts all kind of ways and is intended to make it easy and fast for the user to find just what they need.

We will keep you posted on the progress. The site is awfully close to being officially finished, but we are adding more content and finishing touches everyday. So check it out! You may also visit the GSACC Facebook Page for all the updates on what the Chamber is doing and check out the sort-launch of a new feature-the events calendar.

Please remember, by joining your local Chamber of Commerce you help every business in the Chamber’s area. And, to thrive, we all need to work together.

Delaware County Assoc. of B and Bs Launches New Site

We have just launched The Delaware County Association of Bed and Breakfasts and Country Lodgings new website. Known on the web as bnblodgings.com,  the new site displays much more information on each of the 16 member inns and allows the user to generate personalized directions to any inn, search for an accommodation based on amenities offered, and provides a much larger attractions list to help a visitor plan their trip to our area. All of this functionality is wrapped with a clean and simple site that is easy to navigate and use.

We have worked with the bnblodgings group  for quite some time now and were really pleased to be given the opportunity to upgrade the website. As we all know, travelers utilize the internet more and more to plan a trip and we wanted bnblodgings to “keep up with the times.” Many of the member inns are already booking up for the season and we certainly hope the new site keeps that momentum going!

Here’s to a successful and strong 2011 Season!

Midrox Insurance Company Launch Day

What a great Company and great people! We are pleased to have Midrox Insurance Company in Roxbury chose CMS to create a new and more functional website for them. The site launched today, January 27, 2011.

The new site allows users to learn about Midrox and all the insurance products offered and find a local agent from their very large network. We are using a feature-rich mapping program with awesome mash-ups and individual maps for each agent. This is our favorite upgraded functionality of the site. The site will also soon allow insureds to make a payment on-line; just waiting for the payment acceptor and it is ready to go.

Midrox has some cool history in our area and is staffed people real people that care-just like it used to be in the good old days! From Midrox’s website – “Midrox was chartered on May 26, 1939 by Chauncey F. Morse and his son, Harrison C. Morse. The company was then known as the Midrox Co-Operative Fire Insurance Company. Shortly after World War II, Lindon B. Morse, another son of Chauncey Morse, became involved in the insurance business. During the course of the next several years, up to the present, Midrox merged with several other similar but smaller companies, retaining the name of Midrox, which is shortened from Middletown-Roxbury Co- Operative Fire Insurance Company. In July of 1987, two of the smaller companies in the office, the Delhi Insurance Co. and the Andes Mutual Fire Insurance Co. were merged with the Midrox Co-Operative Fire Insurance Company, and in June of 1988, the remaining company, the Bovina Co-Operative Fire Insurance Company merged. The surviving corporation became known as the Midrox Insurance Company.

The Midrox Insurance Company has been located at many locations within Roxbury, including Chauncey Morse’s residence, the Golden Seal Building, a former church, former butcher shop and the new location, south of the village.

Midrox boasts a friendly and cooperative staff coupled with excellent claims service.”

Welcome LaFever Excavating, Inc. to the CMS Family

Everyone in Delaware County has seen the infamous LaFever Excavating, Inc. yellow trucks on the road, or their heavy equipment expertly doing a job. You may have even heard Jonathon on WIOX Radio on 5/5/2011!

We at CMS Internet Solutions, Inc. are so excited and honored to be choosen to re-design the LaFever Excavating, Inc. Website. Not only are they in our home town, but they are a fabulous company that has been digging in the area dirt since 1947!

They entire LaFever family is very active in the community and just a great bunch of folks to work with. The new site is not only a complete re-design. It has many enhanced features such as large project galleries, a detailed page on all aggregates available to help us folks who don’t know our “rocks” as well as the LaFevers understand our options, and an employment application to make it easier to apply for a position.  The new site should launch very soon, so check back for updates! The new site is launched and LIVE as of May 18, 2011! Another great project for a GREAT client is in the can! Happy launch day LaFever family 🙂
